Anne Geddes and Celine DionAnne Geddes and Celine Dion celebrate the Miracle of new life together
Miracle is a unique artistic collaboration between photographer Anne Geddes (famous for her extraordinary pictures of babies in various positions and unusual situations) and internationally renowned singer Celine Dion. It celebrates the innocence and beauty of newborns. Celine Dion’s CD and Anne Geddes’s book illustrating the special bond between mothers and babies are packaged together under the title Miracle. It is the first time that Anne Geddes has ever had her images accompanied with a musical element. How Miracle came to be One of the first images in the book is one of a tiny baby asleep in a lotus flower. Anne Geddes chose this image because the lotus is said to represent life. However, at the time when Anne wanted to begin taking photographs, the lotus was blooming only in a tropical climate and her crew had to fly to Brisbane Australia in order to pick just the right flower! Nonetheless, all efforts were well worth it as Miracle was officially launched in New York on October 12, 2004 with a big celebration at the Sony Headquarters. It received almost instant critical acclaim and landed on the New York Times best seller list.
